Navigating your record cards on mobile

Know where materials are located, create relationships between records, create packing lists and track materials and subcomponents

In Matrak every material, task, container, stillage, or delivery becomes its own Record and has its own associated ID number. Every record has its own record card that has four tabs that hold all vital information, related information and upload photos related to that material.

In this article we will break down your records cards explain everything you need to know about your:

Details tab

In Matrak, you can easily view or update your materials packing information from the "Details tab".

Detailed information about a material will display here. From this tab you can enter, update and view specific information your company has decided to track.

Photos tab


The "Photo tab" is where you can upload up to 10 photos at a time to a material's record card.

Adding photos protects your work, provides quality insurance and helps communicate or raise issues and alerts to ensure no risk goes unreported.

To upload a photo or multiple photos to your record card:

  • Select any material you wish to add photos to and click the "View/Edit" button on the bottom right hand of your mobile device.

  • Select the "Photo" tab

  • Here you will be able to take a photo or select photos from from your camera roll. to upload. Select up to 10 photos at a time to attach to the selected material's record card.

Related tab


From your matrak mobile app, you can link records to create meaningful relationships. The "View Related" tab located at the top of your record cards enables you to:

  • Link Materials to Containers, Stillages, or Deliveries: To get detailed insights into how your materials are packed and shipped.

  • Link Materials to Specific Locations: To better track materials when you or you're teams are on site.

  • Link Tasks to Specific Locations: To better track progress and project milestones with location-specific task management.

Step-by-steps Instructions to Link Records Together:


Step 1: Open the Record Card

1. Open the mobile app and navigate to the specific record you want to work with.

2. Open the record card for this particular record.

Step 2: Access the Related Tab

3. In the record card, locate the Related tab at the top right corner.

4. Tap on the Related tab to view related categories.​

Step 3: Add a Relationship

5. On the right side of each category, you will see an Add button (e.g., if you're on the record for apartment 02-01 and want to add materials, click the + button next to "Materials").

6. Tap the + button to start linking records.

7. Next you can either link with new or existing records:

a. To link with existing records:

  1. In the search field, type the ID of the record you wish to link.

  2. Then select the desired record from the search results to create the relationship

How to scan QR codes to create relationships

  1. If you have a QR code for the record you want to link and don’t remember the exact ID, simply click on the Scan field.

  2. Use your mobile device’s camera to scan the QR code sticker.

  3. The app will automatically link the scanned record to your current record.

Drawings tab

In Matrak your materials are linked directly to your interactive drawings.

The drawings tabs lets you view and highlights where the selected material is suppose to go directly on your drawings.

To view your record on your projects interactive drawings:

  • select the "Find" tab at the bottom of your screen

  • Filter down the material type and its status that you wish to see

  • Once you have done so, select the "See all results" button which will pull up your material record cards

  • Select the material you wish to view from the list, and select the "View/Edit" button on the bottom right of the screen to open up the material's record card. Then select the "drawings" tab on the top right of the record card to pull up its drawing location.

  • Once the drawings tab is selected the exact location of the material will be highlighted directly on your drawings.
