So whats project access?

Project access is a user's access to projects in Matrak — whether that's a team member within your organisation, or external companies.

Matrak's project access feature allows project managers to grant or restrict access to users on specific projects, as well as to specific data within those projects. This way, managers can ensure that each user has access only to the information and features that are relevant to their role, while also maintaining strict control over the data.

Note: This feature is only available for users with Admin access only.

The access options are below:

  • Admin - can change access levels for others in the company and can download reports

  • Edit - can edit materials and update materials on a project

  • View - can only see the project with no ability to make changes

  • No Access - are not able to access the project

To manage internal colleague's project access:

  1. Navigate to the “My Company” tab on the left side menu.

  2. Click the “User Management” tab at the top of the screen.

  3. Use the search bar to quickly locate specific users or roles if needed.

  4. Select the checkboxes next to each user to enable bulk updates for multiple users simultaneously.

  5. Click “Edit Project Access” for bulk or individual users. This opens a pop-up card where you can:

    1. View selected users’ access to each project.

    2. Assign or modify project access across multiple users by selecting the appropriate access level for each project.

  6. Once the changes are made, select the “Update Permission” button to confirm and apply the updated permissions to each selected project for the users.

By following these steps, you can update the project access of your internal colleagues’ user access in your Matrak project network.
